What does SureStart Do?

SureStart aims to work for and with parents and children aged 0-4 years to:
  • Improve social and emotional development
  • Improve health and well being
  • Improve ability to learn
  • Strengthen families and communities
Whose Involved?
Dalriada Sure Start is a multi-agency partnership of health, education, voluntary and community groups working together to improve the life chances or children and parents.

How do we meet our aims?
SureStart provides:
  • Outreach and home visiting services
  • Services to suport and promote good quality, play and learning
  • Health care and advice
  • Drop In Creche
  • Personal Development Courses
  • Physical Activities
and much more...

Where?
Dalriada Rural Sure Start is based on the North Coast of Northern Ireland. We serve a large geographical area where many families live a large distance from towns and services. Dalriada Rural Sure Start is in an area designated as an "Area of Rural Deprivation" as the North Antrim coast is economically one of the poorest regions of the UK.
